ACCOUNT MANAGER EASTERN CHINA

The ‘OTN Systems’ company ( www.otnsystems.com ) is looking for an Account Manager to increase the business of OTN in China. Today, the ‘OTN Systems’ company is focusing mainly on OTN (Open Transport Network) which is a redundant fiber optic access and transport solution for Voice, Data, LAN and CCTV applications sold in particular market segments : Metro’s, Light Rails, Railways, Intelligent Motorways, Mines, Airports, Pipelines, Electricity networks, Large Industrial Areas …. The OTN fiber optic solution is the worldwide market leader in these industrial environments of metros, mining and oil&gas and is installed in more then 70 countries. With the new OTN-X3M family and the OTN micronode we want to increase our business further in China. Important customers in China are Beijing Metro, Shanghai Metro, Nanjing Metro, Shenzhen Metro, Guangzhou Metro, Guangdong Water Authorities, etc. The OTN Systems Account Manager is responsible for the OTN Solution Sales via Value Added Resellers within his territory. He plays a key role in convincing end-customers, consultants and design institutes.

Main Tasks

  • Defining the market and sales Strategy for East China within the China OTN Team
  • Realizing the yearly sales volume and the defined Margin in East China.
  • Management and support of the various Sales partners, e.g. VARs, within the territory.
  • Building long term relationships with end customers, partners, system integrators.
  • Commercial handling of the Sales Process.
  • Cooperation with the other OTN/Industry departments (Marketing, business and product development, project coordination, ...).

Profile

  • Based in the OTN Systems representation office in Shanghai.
  • Native Mandarin speaking and writing, good knowledge of English is required.
  • Broad technical knowledge of Telecom Networks: OSI Model (Layer 1, Layer 2, Layer 3)
  • Detailed knowledge of Transport and Wireline Access technologies: SONET, ATM, Frame relay, PDH, OSI, SDSL, HDSL, ADSL, 802.3 Ethernet, Fibre Channel, RS232, RS485, T1/E1, POTS.
  • Detailed knowledge of Fiber Optic Transmission technologies for Private Networks as f.i. Metro’s/Light Rails, Railways, Utilities: Oil & Gas, Water, Refineries.
  • Proven track record and experience in creating Sales of Telecom Equipment.
  • Flexible Team Player , who is able to work autonomously.
  • Regular short business trips in China.
  • Ability to work on long term success.
  • Business development skills.
