The first phase of the Purple line consists of 16 stations and was opened for service in August 2016. This elevated line stretches 23 km from Khlong Bang Phai in the northwestern suburb of Bangkok to Tao Pun in the city center. The Mass Rapid Transit Authority of Thailand (MRTA) expects the route will serve an average of 200,000 daily passengers during the first year of operation, with the total gradually increasing to 400,000 by 2019.

The backbone for train and platform operations is provided by OTN Systems.

OTN Systems announces the opening of a new regional office on October 1^st in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia.

OTN Systems will participate at InnoTrans 2016, the world’s leading trade fair for rail transport technology that takes place in Berlin, Germany. The company will showcase live demonstrations of the successful OTN (Open Transport Network) and XTran (eXcellence in Transport) product lines.

OTN Systems will present the XTran product line at Cigré 2016. Cigré is the world leading event for Power Systems experts organized in the Palais des Congrès, Paris, France, August 22-26.

The XTran product is the result of an in-depth focus on the requirements of the power utilities combined with the latest available technologies in the ICT world. XTran allows end-users to migrate all their applications on a single network, without compromises.
